Best Aimpoint Micro Mount?

I’m wanting to throw an Aimpoint Micro on my new build. I’ve only ran Eotech’s. I love my Eotech’s and have never had any problems with them. I’d still like to try something new, and I’m pretty sold on a Micro. Any suggestions on the best mount for them?

LaRue and Daniel Defense are my top picks.

LaRue if you need the QD capability. DD if you want the strongest mounting option and another time and tested mount.

Those are the two I’ve been looking at, based on aesthetics. But I also want it to be sturdy. I’m not overly concerned about quick detach, but it would be a nice feature I guess.

DD for fixed BOBRO, for QD with the best return to zero.

When I bought mine, it was between the Larue and the DD as well. I decided on Larue because they had a good price on the aimpoint/mount combo. It’s a great mount, easy to adjust, solid, QD, retains zero, what more could you ask for? plus you get dillo dust

I like the Scalarworks Micro mount best, for me. You will have to decide what is best for you. https://scalarworks.com/optic-mounts/ldm-micro/

Bobro gets my vote.

After using Larue mounts for a while because they were all that was out there for quite a while, I decided to try a Bobro. LIGHT years better latch system.

There isn’t anything else even close. I wish Trijicon would release their results from destructive and non-destructive testing. It would open some eyes.

GDI get’s my vote, I think the only reason they’re not used more is because of the price.

Recoil Magazine did a test in one of the more recent issues on return to zero. Bobro won first. If you’re gonna have QD, might as well have the best rtz.

If I wanted or needed a QD mount Bobro would get my money. My T-1 is mounted on the DD mount as I don’t need quick detach capabilities. it has been great even after getting beat around in a patrol car trunk for 6 months and all of my regular shooting. I have no complaints.

I’m in no rush to run out and replace my LaRue mounts.

My preference is for Bobro.

I would love to see those results.

14 posts and only 1 vote for the Scalarworks LDm!? It’s is arguably the best mount out right now. It’s definitely the lightest mount, competitive price point, torx/thumbscrew w/ a ball detent so it doesn’t back out, and outstanding CS from a small company. Sure it’s not BCM/DD/Bobro established company but it is a small company with well designed products and they’ve kept pace with increasing demand w/o sacrificing quality.

On top of that, the mount integrates with the micro so well that it almost looks like an OEM mount.

“best…” It has to fit my needs, not a checklist of features.
The last thing I want is anything adjustable.

1.) Bobro for bomb proof and QD w/ RTZ.
2.) ScalarWorks LDM for lightweight, still very stout, and QD.

Oh look, an Optics and Mounts area. https://www.m4carbine.net/forumdisplay.php?13-Optics-amp-Mounts

Bobro would be my first choice, Scalarworks would be my second. Personally have a Bobro for a T2 and waiting on Scalarworks RMR mount.

KAC, Bobro, Scalar Works
