Been a lot of talk here about the ARX100 and I finaly finished up my review… Here are my thoughts:
Sustains:
-100% reliable to date
-Accuracy is just fine on mine (I know some folks have had different experiences)
-CHF CL barrel
-Extremely ambi-friendly
-Stock seems pretty solid
-MP barrel, bolt, bolt carrier
-Easy maintenance (once you do it once or twice)
-Comes with BUIS
-Leightweight
Improves:
-Not all AR mags work (most do however)
-Rail/Sight height is higher than ARs so some optics will give a chin vs. cheek weld
-Rail space is limited vs. other carbines
I do not own one of these yet, but all of the poor accuracy reports seem suspect. Most of the people that I trust such as yourself, LAV, MilArms, etc. report accuracy that is pretty much in line with a decent AR.
I’m holding out for a FDE version. In addition, I’ve stopped buying new release firearms. Now, I wait 2-3 years for bugs to shake out.
In your review you mention you can take off the side rails. Thats not entirely accurate. The side rails retain the ring at the front of the receiver and without those the barrel will come out.
