I’m looking for training and plinking ammo to run in this shotgun. Anyone know what’s the lightes load this will run. All I’ve shot out of mine is 00 Buck Tactical and Slugs.

I shot a friends standard Beneilli M4 with light target loads, 1 1/8 ounce 2 3/4 dram shot shells and it cycled though it didn’t lock back every time, can’t get shells much lighter then that really so I imagine if it will run those a little more oomph in the load, like a 3 dram and I think it would run pretty well. Not sure how much a few inches or so (4 inches shorter?) will effect the system. Like a lot of things you’ll likely have to test and see what it likes and go from there.
I have a Benelli SBE as a 12" SBS. It will not even attempt to cycle Fiocchi low recoil buckshot, no matter how clean. But it cycles 2 3/4" dove loads all day. That ensures me that the Federal flight control buckshot loads in 2 3/4 - 3 1/2 will all cycle well.
Hopefully this translates the same for your M4
