Review:
Well, I took the plunge and finally bought a OTF auto. Ive owned several high end autos but this is my 1st OTF.
The 1st thing you notice when you pick it up is its light as a feather at 3.00oz and the machining is perfect. You can tell it was precisely constructed. The blade has minimal wobble which is standard for all OTF’s, its just how the operating mechanisim works. Handle is 60601T Aluminum, and the Blade is D2 Tool Steel with a Modified Clip-Point Blade and is EXTREMELY sharp.
The trigger is nicley machined and has a good solid feel to it. You have to give it a decent push so I doubt the blade will ever accidentally fire in my pocket. It is a dual spring setup so the force of open/close is strong and quick.
All in all its a very nice blade, now while it does have a single edge I would have liked a double edge option as this is not your normal daily duty chore knife, but rather a self-defense oriented knife. Its sturdy enough for normal cutting but would not fair well to prying. Id use another type of knife for any prying. Im glad I bought it.

oh joy…another angry pez dispenser  Hopefully it will have a little more kick than Benchmade’s last OTF. It had a nice design, but the few I saw were a little limp in the wrist.
lol.
The bottom of the blade(dunno technical term) is skeletonized to reduce weight, so It should fire faster than the infidel. It seems fine to me.
Maybe Ill record a quick video tomorrow to show the speed.
If you’re refering to the notch near where the sharpened portion of the blade meets the handle, this is most commonly refered to as the choil. This notch is put there for more than just reducing weight. It’s typically a way for terminating the edge cleanly. Often it’s there for aesthetics. Sometimes it’s not always a desired feature as materials such as rope strands and fabric can get caught in the notch.
I’m sure it’s a nice knife, but as I said previously, another angry pez dispenser. Now if H&K teamed up with Microtech and came out with a beefier HALO III design, well, now you’ve got my attention.
No not the choil. Im talking about the end of the blade. The part you dont see, the end that stays in the handle when th eblade is open. I dont drink the microtech koolaid, nice knives but $400 for some them…not my cup of tea.
Ah, the tang. I like Microtech knives, but some of the latest offerings are kind of :(
Yeah, they are getting a little crazy. However, Ill prob pick up this
