I’ve carried several Benchmade knives and my current one for the past couple of years is the AFCK folder with a pocket clip. Recently I lost one of the screws and the tension on the clip has been a little less than optimal.
I sent a quick e-mail asking Benchmade how I could get new screws and a clip and they responded the same day and said they’d take care of it. About a week later I received a manila envelope with 4 screws (1 extra) and a new clip all for the low, low price of nothing but outstanding customer service! Thanks Benchmade, keep up the great work!
I have had several experience similar to yours. I have also had very good service with the Life Sharp service. I have sent my 910SBT in 3 or 4 times with 7-10 turn around even using the postal service from IN to OR.
funny you should post this. i got a manila envelope from benchmade TODAY as well, with a new clip and screws. my clip broke, and i sent them an email last week, and got a reply within a couple of days saying they’d be happy to replace it. no fuss, just good customer service.
The CS has been great in my limited experience as well.
I just wish they’d just give/sell you internal parts(i want some spare Omega springs!)…
Agreed: Benchmade CS has been top notch for me as well.
Another thumbs up for Benchmade Cust. Service, bent the crap out of the pocket clip on my mini-Griptilian. Sent them an e-mail (got an actual reply) and had a new clip, free of charge about a week later.
I don’t buy a lot of knives, but the next one I DO buy will be a Benchmade…

Looking to pick up a benchmade knife that I could clean a deer with, as well as other utility jobs, nothing serious. Any advice on which model? Trying to keep it at $100 or less if possible. Let me know if I’m way off the mark here. Thanks,
Mike
probably not going to find a benchmade appropriate for deer for under a hunsky… i use a Buck Zipper for dressing. think i paid like $60 for it about 5 years ago… been great for it’s purpose. keep a fine hone with it and sharpen often.
my father made knives for benchmade until they restructured, fired and hired new executive type management, and started outsourcing to china. he turned down a forman position offer and left for his current position at some defense shop in the People’s Republic of California. hasn’t been heard from since- he’s a Christian… God save him.
the blackline is still made right here in oregon, that’s all i buy.
ETA: I should add- Benchmade Blackline is high quality, as we all know. unfortunately, I was still too young and uninterested in specifics to remember all that my father told me about why they’re superior, but he thinks very highly of that line.
