When Ben is on, he’s savage. I assumed the ratings were all time low, but didn’t care to look. Ben’s vid probably the most attention the Oscar’s are gonna get:
I love how they complain about the Oscars being racist, when it is made up of the senior woke people? Some how it makes me a racist at fault that they don’t live by the standards that they set? WTF.
Ben used to be sharper, especially with facts. He gets a little hyperbolic with his wording lately. I think he is getting spread too thin. But you are right, when he is focused, he is brutal.
I get the sense he’s trying to appeal to a wider audience and does start to stray into areas I wish he didn’t and hurts credibility, and I don’t always agree with his positions/assessments on some topics (his being a conservative POV and mine leaning more Libertarian on some issues/topics), he takes no prisoners that’s for sure.
Oscar who?
Last time I saw any of it was when Ricky G ripped them a new ahole on their own stage. Before that I think it was probably more than 20 years ago. The oscars have been on my “F Off” list ever since 1977 when they gave best picture to that pedophile Woody Allen for “Annie Hall” instead of "Star Wars.
I mean are you f’ing kidding me. Star Wars lost to Annie Hall. I was only 10 but even then I figured out this is some BS.
Wasn’t that the Golden Globes?
Could have been, it’s all the same to me.
The Oscars are nothing more than narcissistic media masturbation.
They hate people like me, and I hate them right back. I will be watching the new Bond movie as well as the new Top Gun this year, however. I know I can’t avoid Hollywood media entirely, but I can patronize the movies that I suspect that they hate to make vs. the preachy, social justicey, cosmo**** nonsense they wish I would watch.
Let’s face facts here, with a few exceptions the last 20 years the “Best Picture” category has been nothing short of “WTF is this movie” moments.
Movies, first and foremost, should entertain. I could care less about this camera angle or how awe inspiring the plot was or any of the other artsy-crafty items the critics come up with. If it’s boring, it’s ****ing boring.
The last decade that actually saw entertaining movies that people actually watched win “Best Picture” was the 90s (and 2000 which counts since the movie came out in 99).
Add in the Hollywood wokeness and liberal crying that permeates everything they do, and you end up with a recipe for a disaster for a lot of nominations. I mean, I enjoyed Black Panther because I generally enjoyed all the MCU flicks, but I’m not sure if it was really at the “Best Picture” level. No more so than Captain America: Civil War IMO.
Shapiro has a new series that he called “debunked“. A new one comes out every Friday. The April 30 one is about systemic racism, and I think it’s one of the best he’s done.
