Ben Carson Spanks Obama at Prayer Breakfast

For what it’s worth I think it noble of you to share this so candidly. Nobody’s perfect and you’ve done a lot for us overall, which as you know is why most grant you a pass.

But it’s never too late to improve upon thyself, so…

I think you have touched upon it here. Surgeons have to have a great deal of self confidence and drive, just to make it into their profession.

I saw the same thing with all the trauma surgeons I knew. But I also did not give a crap about their personality traits when I was spraying hydraulic fluid everywhere.

Like many others have said, a lot of times I just look at the bigger picture.

Bravo, Dr. Carson. In the words of Mr Defoor: “Much respect.”

Sensei - thank you for the heads up about the speech.

Safetyhit -

Your right ; and there’s always room to improve upon the place where you choose to live !!! As in - move !!!

Sorry - I had to do it !!

As far as the video, awesome. As far as neurosurgeons, where I work (Duke) they have an over-abundance of confidence, but also lack large ego’s…perhaps some of the finest people I have ever met. But, agreed that most surgeons, or anyone on top of their respective profession’s food chain, ego and confidence usually go hand-in-hand.

I have often been accused of having an ego, to which I often reply that I back up my claims.

Sorry, hell is full…off to Camden with ya!

That was awesome, thanks for sharing Sensei.

I couldn’t help but to observe that it would benefit us as a whole if our members here could heed the good Doctor’s warning:

. . . he said that Americans should stop being afraid to speak up and defend their beliefs; he also encouraged people to respect the individuals they disagree with”. Carson held little back, condemning political correctness as “a horrible thing” that is “dangerous,” as it hampers freedom of thought and expression.

Why you…

Seriously though I don’t have to be here, that’s true. It should be simple, all we have to do is clarify how I move myself and my grammar school age son out of state, a child of which I share custody of with his mother who has him on weekends and who has a say in his place of residence should it be out of state.

A fellow who attended a class of yours clarified that you do some family/legal counseling on the side, so if you have the time I’m all ears.

I also just had to.

Editville.

I was very impressed with is speaking and the points he made. Unfortunately most of our leaders can’t hold a candle to him. I only wish that the President and others had really been listening instead of appearing to be bored by what he said.

I agree 100% that political correctness has led to people being afraid to say anything controversial because they will be painted as racist and bigoted. It is completely killing free speech.

I saw it the other night and the Hanity interview. He spoke the truth, logically, and with passion, right to the Man’s face. It was something that the Republican’s should have been doing, and on a regular basis. It was all kinds of awesomeness. With the amount of corruption in our politics, the good Doctor would either be corrupted or he’d quit from the frustration. The whole congress and the house should be dumped on their asses. Everyone of them should be charged with violating their oaths, charged with treason, kicked out of office…then a whole new crew installed.

You can bet your ass the left is already looking for ways to burn him at the stake for making Obama sit through that.

God
Education
Taxes
Economics
Civility

Jeeze… that was like throwing Holy Water on a Vampire and watching him smolder. The left will be calling to outlaw prayer meeting torture.

By their very nature, most if not all Neurosurgeons are arrogant dicks. They have to be otherwise they would be doing something else.

Think about it this way, who would you rather have cut your skull open and root around in their? An arrogant, self-confident dick who was probably at the top of his class in Medical School? Or a self-conscious individual who was probably at the bottom of his?

I’m sure Der Kommissar Obamassar was thinking the whole time: “PRAYER breakfast?!?! I thought this was a fundraiser!!!”

Off topic, but how many do you know?

I agree with some of you guys. Being too humble will often get you no where. If you dont carry yourself like you are worthy of some respect, then most people are going to treat you like a chump.

I need to work on this.

Wow, that was absolutely inspiring to watch. That man is truly a master with words and a patriot that I’m sure our founding fathers would be proud of.

Loved his flat tax argument.

“The Johns Hopkins neurosurgeon may not be politically correct, but he’s closer to correct than we’ve heard in years.”

notice that the Obamas were the first to sit down during the standing ovation

He’s on Fox News now
