Well just got an email from Rainier Arms that the barrel I want is in stock. So I ordered the black oxide 14.5" 5.56 barrel. I am having them pin on a YHM flash suppressor to make it legal. I wanted to use a BCM upper but I have no idea when they will be in stock. What is everyone’s next choice for an upper receiver? I have no clue what handguard I am going to use yet so I will be using the 2 piece specter gas block from YHM to solve that issue. thanks
Get a BCM demo/“blem” upper. The blem is usually something that you have to look for, and if you plan to use the gun it shouldnt be that big of a deal. And the’re in stock.
If you can pop in a pin to hold the forward assist, it’s worth the money.
Just head down the street a ways and get an Aero Precision upper from Surplus Ammo & Arms

after doing a little research I took your advise and just went with a rainier receiver. From the reviews they are a very good quality reciever.
You could always just get a Daniel Defense upper from Ranier at the same time you order the barrel.
+1 for the BCM Demo uppers.
Here’s the BCM Demo upper I bought for a recent build. I can’t complain at all. A little birchwood casey flat black touched up the few scratches on the rail.
If you want to save money, get the BCM demo. If you want to treat yourself and splurge, get the MUR. I have both and it’s a win-win either way…
