I just wanted to share my progress with you all, especially those of you who knowingly and unknowingly helped me in the decision making process(long journey) on which AR Manufacture(s) to stick with, choose and why.
Now being that I am a true noob to the AR platform, in which I have never used nor built an AR15 ever, I thought telling you all “Thanks” would do some good to the AR15 community (to include the YouTuber’s).
So, for the past few years (5 to be exact) I have been reading forums back and forth, in and out, day and night (the wife says I’m obsessed). I called it DETERMINED to Acomplish a long over due goal. With that said, I will move on to what I brought and why I did it. ( pics to come).
A… Before I became truely familiar with the different manufatures and quality, I brought a Double Star Zombie Slayer Lower with a Magpul MOE+ grip.ALG combat trigger group (NiB coated) and Misc LPK pieces. However, during my time on vacation, some D! *k head decided to come into my house and steal it from me. Errgghhh… Anyway, since then, I decided to change it up a little bit.

Brought a Spikes Lower w/ Zombie logo. (Got it for $99 brand new) preferred the spider logo, but couldn’t beat saving some coin while still getting quality parts.

Purchased a BCM (Socom) 14.5" (Blem) carbine upper w/ Perm attached A2X FH to bring it to the legal length. The “blem” part which cosmetically, you couldn’t even tell. However, it had a very small scratch on the finish that you would honeslty need to see by holding it up close to your face and maybe put a magnifying glass up to it, juust to see. doesn’t hinder the performance or quality of it. It also came without the BCG ( WHICH 3DAYS later, they started including it with their sale.) Guess I should have waited a few more days. And no hand guards.

Magpul CTR Butt-Stock (mil spec) OD Green. I wanted this rifle as close to mol-spec as poss. Plus I’m anal. I don’t want that slanted commercial stuff. Not to mention I maybe using it as a service rifle with my Dept.
Spikes Tactical Buffer tube kit (mil-spec). With dry film lube and ST-T2 Buffer. I wanted the Tungsten powder because everyone has said they have had no issues from it. Its quieter and is a heavier weight.

Ambi safety selector brought from a local shop (unk brand).
10.PSA Take down and Pivot pin. The take down pin seems to be to thick or something because it doesn’t seat properly when the upper and lower are connected. But it seems great in one or the other as long as they are not connected. I will go for a KNS take down pin.

Midwest Industries G2 carbine drop in quad rails. I heard these are great quality for the price. They are sturdy, and the rails have rounded edges so u don’t cut yourself or get your rails snagged on your clothes.
