Just finished my first build. I used a BCM BFH 14.5 Middy upper and Seekins SP223 Billet lower. Used the upper, well, because it’s BCM. I liked the captured takedown and ambi bolt catch on the Seekins, plus they have a unique look. In the pics, you’ll notice the upper has kind of a purple hue to it. I can’t say I’m thrilled about that, but honestly, it’s not a Barbie doll, it’s a gun, and it works just fine. I ended up using a Timney 3.5 pound single stage trigger because I am not a fan of 2 stage triggers. BAD ASS selector because I’m a lefty and I don’t think there’s a better selector out there. So far, I have about 500 rounds through it the first run out, dialing in the PRO and sights took about a magazine’s worth, averaged about 1" groups at 100 yards off a sandbag rest. Currently running a standard carbine buffer, but I have an H and H2 and am going to be swapping them in and running to see how heavy I can run before it won’t lock back or short strokes. XM193 and XM855 only run in it thus far, no Wolf or Tula .223 here. It’s going to be for HD and range use, and I do plan to run it in some carbine classes to train up.
