Is there any diffrence between these two. I don’t really think there is but maybe a more experienced memebr can chime in if you see any diffrence. Both appear to have the same things done to them and are the same price. I have ordered from both comanies and both are top notch as far as CS goes. If anybody is running one of these let me know how you like it. Plan on running one with a 10.5" Noveske and a suppressor.

Anybody…Maybe I should ask if IONBOND is really worth it. From what I read it is but I had a NP3 Coated BCG and it was better than a regular but it seem to wear off after a couple thousand rounds. I mean it didn’t wear off completely just lost alot of its qualities. I heard the IONBOND is well worth it, was just wanting some info from people who have had experience with it. I have been looking at the FAILZERO too but I have heard they have had problems with improperly staked keys, and extraction issues in some guns, (maybe that coating is too thick). I have heard IONBOND is microns thick and does not affect thickness. The BCG in question will be going in a 10.5" Noveske Switchblock that will get a suppressor here shortly. If it were a regular 16" gun I really wouldn’t worry about it but this new setup will be short and suppressed so I figured any advantage to help it maintains its lubricity…cause a SBR will dry a bolt out…and a suppressed SBR will REEEAAALLYY dry a bolt out.
OK, so I searched later then sooner and found some good stuff but my original question remians. Are those 2 BCG’s pretty much the same or are there any minor diffrences, 1 better then the other?

I don’t think they’re the same BCG. I tried to use the Denny’s version in a BCM upper. It would not slide freely back in forth. In fact, if I put the BCM upper in a vertical position, the Denny’s BCG would go in about 2" and stop. I tried it in 3 different uppers, using 2 different Denny’s BCGs.

Denny originated the Ion Bond BCM BCG. He was the only source for these until recently. It is my understanding (from conversations with him) that he worked with Paul to get the BCM BCG Ion Bonded. The parts are Ion Bonded then assembled. It was my understanding that Denny would then assemble the Ion Bonded BCM parts himself. Denny used to offer his super duty BCG (CMT parts and upgrades), but stopped offering them when the BCM BCGs became available. I do not believe that he ever Ion Bonded the super duty BCGs. It now looks like BCM is sending the parts to Ion Bond themselves and then completing assembly. I do not think you could go wrong with either and both companies will stand behind their products. I was also told that the first Ion Bonded BCM BCGs that were completed were used in some high round count testing without cleaning and performed well. Ion Bond is supposed to be easier to clean and assist with lubrication. I have some 6.8 Ion Bonded bolts from Denny, but have not had the opportunity to use them extensively.
Thanks for the replies. I will probably go with the BCM if they are still availiable. I wonder what the problem was where the bolt was only going in 2 inches and stopping. I have always heard good stuff about Global-Tactical.com and Denny. I Have a custom SPR/Krieger Barreled upper from him and it shoots like a raped ape.
