BCM Lightweight middy FINALLY shipping

I backordered a BCM 16" LW middy from G&R 6 weeks ago and Grant informed me that my order ships out today :dance3:. Holy smokes I cannot wait to get my hands on that upper. If anyone is waiting on BCM to show they have them back in stock on their website, hopefully you won’t be waiting long.

Good to hear, now we just need Magpul to get the midlength MOE handguards out and all would be right with the world.

cool ! :dance3:

Mine was here when I arrived home from work! Sunday I’ll take off the barrel and send it to ADCO on Tuesday, along with a BattleComp 1.0 for chopping and pinning. I’ve already built the lower with Magpul, Tango down, Geisselle, and ambi parts. The upper will sport a Troy 11" extreme rail and sights, and a T-1. it should be very lightweight and functional.

Neat, I am going to do the same thing, as far as chopping to 14.7" and pinning a BC 1.0. I am curious how they will do it, though, since the LW barrel is so skinny where the cut will be made. On factory barrels (look at yours), there is a shoulder machined at the base of the muzzle threads, so the crush washer has something to seat against. Maybe ADCO makes a shoulder washer or something for this. I wonder if there is an extra charge for this…

Now they are in stock after I just ordered the standard weight because I got tired of waiting!

I got my light wieght upper recently and installed a troy TRX extreme forend. I cut the front sight down as I used a rifle length handguard. I am very happy with mine and what a huge difference between the light wieght upper and the standard mid length upper. You should be very happy with yours when you get it. BCM makes a great product.

I was OOOOOOOH so tempted to just get a standard middy instead. Fortunately I had someone that loaned me an upper so I’d at least have something to shoot. I expect that gun to run and run and run with a little (and I mean little) TLC.
