Does anyone have any experience mounting a KMR hand guard to either the Vltor or Noveske MUR? I tried following up with the manufacturers, and none of them seem to have any idea. The closest thing to an answer I got was Vltor saying the design of Noveske’s NSR is similar to the KMR, so it “might” work. I’d not only like to find out if they are compatible, but if so, which version of the MUR mollies up better/cleaner to the KMR. Thanks in advance.
The KMR absolutely works with the standard Vltor MUR. I’ve mounted 4 of them together myself, no issues whatsoever. If you don’t take my word for it, the designer himself, Eric Kincel, stated that they work together in the 100+ page long KMR thread. I also believe the KMR will work just fine with the Noveske MUR upper as well. This is due to the fact that only the small anti-rotation tabs slide over the narrow portion of the receiver just below the picatinny rail. Look closely at some detail pics.
It will work with both. I have both a Noveske and a Vltor MUR, and they are both mil-spec in the area where the KMR indexes.
Yep. I swapped mine around and it now wears a LW barrel, KMR 13 and MUR upper.

yep, I installed a KMR on a MUR just the other day. Went on without a problem!
In case anyone is still checking this thread. I too, have installed two KMR rails on VLTOR MUR uppers.
