BCM Keymod covers are out?

These things are super lo pro and nice!

They look great. When do they hit the streets?

Can’t belive it took so long on these…

Seriously. Looking forward to them though.

I waited a long time for these. I ended up using the KAC panels and I’m very happy with them.
What was wrong with the original ones?

Not sure what the story is on their release/availability. But they give the KMR a very round and grippy feel. They’re idiot proof. Just snap them on. I haven’t tried to pull them off though.

Those look pretty good.

I’m loving the KMR bare, but I’ll still probably pick a couple up. I had no idea these weren’t out yet. I saw them when I got the KMR last week and signed up to be notified.

Thanks for the pic.

That’s really good to hear. The Noveske ones, while I like them and they look good are a real pain to install. Right when I saw this I went to BCM… Out of stock…

I tried the Noveske ones on a couple different keymod rails and just could not get them on… I’ll have to try these.

They are worth the wait. The texture is the same as on the Gunfighter grips, but they feel grippier because of the different polymer used. They snap right in place and aren’t going anywhere until you use the edge of a knive to pop one end off the rail. Then, the rest of the panel just pulls right out with ease.

The polymer was chosen so that the panels wouldn’t crack from installation or removal, and it cuts really cleanly as you can see in the photos. I was able to cut right through one of the lugs using wire snips, and its locking tabs still engaged the slot with only a quarter of their length remaining.

Best of all, they’re only $10 for a five pack. They will be available in all four BCM colors (black, FDE, gray, and foliage green).

That’s an interesting way to attach. Should make it a little easier vs Noveske.

So how long is the wait for the rest of us?

I really like my Midwest Industries. They are worth the cost over Noveske and KAC, but if these are legit and don’t slide off for $10/5 that will be nice.

They are a HUGE improvement as far as installing and removing are. These are very much like using Legos. They pop on super easy, and they aren’t coming off unless you get something really thin (thinner than a screwdriver) to lift one end so you can just pull them off. In fact, now that I say that, I’m going to find one of our Lego tools to see if they work.

ETA: The Lego tool works like a charm!

Can’t wait to get a set of these. Do they have any panels with a hand stop?

Look at you there fancy boy with your folding sights, electro optic, fancy boy stock and grip, special compensating device, and if my eyes don’t deceive me, a loooong rail.

WTF happened to the Markm we all knew and loved. Looks like he had a love child with a gun catalog!!

Welcome to the fun side of AR15 !!

Same guy but he’s hit the big time & gets free stuff now. Hopefully his stardom doesn’t make him forget the little people.

Paul at Bravo and Eric Kincel dragged me screaming into the modern AR realm.

This cell fone pic makes the texture look funny, but you can see how slim they are.

It looks like the BCM covers will be the best covers for the KMR, just like the other manufacturer’s covers are best for their rails. It’s no surprise that BCM isn’t releasing them until they are right. I have been using the KAC and Noveske covers. They work ok, but not great. I haven’t tried the Midwest covers, because I knew that I would get the BCM covers once they were ready.
