BCM GUNFIGHTER COMP and Vltor FLASH SUPPRESSOR/COMP?

I’ve been looking at these two and they look very similar, they both look to do the same thing. Do either of them have a major difference besides price? The Vltor is somehow cheaper which isn’t usually true with Vltor products (not that they don’t make great stuff). Do either do anything that much better than an A2 FH, as in are either a huge improvement?

How are they when shooting prone as far as kicking up dust? I can’t tell if either are closed off on the bottom like an A2. How well do they actually work as comps go? How well do they work as far as flash suppression? Does the BCM Mod 0 work Better than the Mod 1? Are better options out there as far as a flash/comp? From youtube videos and some reviews that I could find some horizontal movement was mentioned. I’d rather hear from the people on M4C as no brand hate or love for either company usually factors in on the reviews that are given. Any firsthand input would be greatly appreciated. As always, thanks for the help guys.

The BCM shoots flatter than the A2, is louder, with more side blast, and more muzzle flash.

I do not recall it kicking up too much dirt for me, though I only shot around 15 rounds in the dirt when in the prone to confirm zero. When I shot on last Sunday night the flash reduction was good with the BCM considering it is a comp.

I have and have been very pleased with the Midwest Industries AR flash hider/comp. Does a great job at both. I have mine clocked to 1:30/4:30/7:30/10:30 to further avoid any kicking up of debris from beneath as well as reduce any side/top blast.

I haven’t noticed anything on the VLTOR here, but a quick search will show tons of positive reviews for the BCM comp. I love mine, but keep in mind that much of what people are recommending is subjective. That being said, I doubt there is any performance difference between the mod 0 and mod 1. Many people (some of whom are very experienced) have said they believe the BCM comp to be the best compromise between the different types of muzzle devices. Again, I love mine but its hard to compare it to anything else since the systems I have shot have been pretty different.

Keep in mind that Eric Kincel, formerly of Vltor, now works for Bravo Company.
This probably explains the similarities.

Bingo

The Vltor is essentially a flash hider with no compensation. The BCM offers compensation with minimal flash signature. If you’re looking for a BCM comp, let me know. I’ve got a couple in used / excellent condition for sale in the EE.

I have been running a BCM mod 0 on my 11.5 for about 9 months now. I just did a Falla class with it last weekend. When shooting prone it dose kick up dust. Not a massive cloud but after about five to ten rounds in quick succession its enough to make it a little tough to see through you optic.
