I recently just received my BCM complete rifle that I had bought from G&R tactical. When I received the rifle it was in a cardboard box and wrapped in plastic, however the rifle was not wrapped in bubble wrap. So is it a posibility that the barrel or front sight could have been slightly bent or warped during shipping considering that packages are usually not handled very delicately?
+1 Unless you see tire tracks all over the box from the Fed Ex truck running over it, it is fine. Now go out and put some rounds through that thing already!
I’m sure this isn’t Grants first rodeo. I ship everyday in my business, If the box wasn’t beat up badly, I’m certain there was no damage. We’re talking a combat weapon, not a piece of china… shoot it!!
I’ve had an upper and a lower ship from G&R.
Both arrived intact and I am very happy with the results when I mated the 2 together.
Congrats on a fine carbine!
The armors that would issue out our rifles when I was in the Marine Corps used to take a couple of sections of a cleaning rod screwed together and drop it down the barrel of the gun. When I asked why, I was told it was how they checked to ensure the barrel wasn’t bent.
If you want some peace of mind, I might suggest doing this.
But if the box wasn’t severely damaged, and the gun doesn’t look as if LAV threw it out of a helo, then I wouldn’t personally worry about it.
Hell yeah! Honestly, I was more impressed with the Aimpoints ability to hold zero after all that. That torture test was enough to convince me to get mine!
The gun will be fine unless the package was seriously damaged.
Great choice in a weapon. You should bring questions to the seller/dealer especially since there is an authorized dealer sub forum here. Poke around some more and find it. Welcome.
Is anything visibly wrong with the packaging or the weapon? If not then why would you assume that something could have been damaged? The barrel is not made from sugar sticks. It is made of steel. Next time address such an issue by contacting the merchant first.
