Not sure about HPT.
just to be sure: the LMT are both HPT and MPI right ?
I believe the BCM bolts are both MPI and HPT. I know they are MPI.

The ad that Jmart linked to does NOT list them as HPT.
That’s an important enough detail that if the bolts had that feature, it would be listed.

All BCM Bolt Groups are:
Heat Treated Gas Key
Chrome Lined Gas Key
Grade 8 Socket Head Cap Screws
Staked Gas Key per Mil-Specs
MPI Bolt (Magnetic Particle Inspected)
Shot Peened Bolt
BCM™ Extractor Spring
Black Extractor Insert
Mil-Spec O-Ring
With various projects at the BCM shop, technically a significant portion of BCM bolts do get HPT. (Ex: a project for GTS / Ion Bond is 100% HPT). 100% of all production is MPI. However BCM will not advertise and market the product as HPT unless 100% of the finished product are. That is our conservative policy; not a universal standard in the industry.
Different companies have different policies on how they designate what is a HPT or a MPI product, as to samples of a batch or random sample within a period of time. Different companies use different sets of acceptance/rejection criteria on MPI for what product passes and what product would fail. Some publish their standards so they can be held to them, some do not.
Our marketing as our standards are very conservative.
The quality of the BCM bolt group and bolt carrier group is outstanding. With the 1000’s that are currently in use, not single report of premature bolt failure. Also, with the quality of specifications to start with – we have yet too loose one on HPT. We have scrapped product because of mfg issues found at MPI.
