BCM Blem Lowers

I get about 100 questions a week on BCM Blem lowers. “How bad are they? Is it functional? Is there a warranty on them?”

So I decided to do a master thread that people can reference with all questions answered and pics of said lower.

Answers:

  1. Blem lowers use the same parts as found in the regular lowers.
  2. Their roll mark is different in that it has “BCM” Spelled out.
  3. Blem lowers are just as functional as non-blem lowers.
  4. The “blem” could be anything from a scratch, dent or ding SOMEWHERE on the lower (varies from lower to lower). Some have NO marks on them (as seen on the one below).
  5. Blem lowers have the same warranty as non-blem lowers.

This is a typical Blem Lower.

Thanks grant for the info. I think it’s interesting how they use a different rollmark to differentiate between the 2 lowers.

There is a long story behind it, but nothing all that exciting.

I’d guess that 99 times out of a hundred, you don’t know a lower will be blem until it’s already been roll marked, serial numbered, and annodized, Bubba.

Very true, and hell once you use it once itll get blemed anyways. I personaly dont care if its blem or not as long as they work, my cmmg and noveske lowers are blems.

I got two of the BCM blemished lowers and both have been perfect in form and function.

Where the hell is the blem?!
:stuck_out_tongue:

I actually prefer the rollmark on the blem lowers vs. the non-blem ones. I had the same questions about these lowers, thanks for putting all of the answers here Grant.

You are welcome!

I would be interested in pics of one that you consider to be “worse” than the others, just for perspective. Showing that your blemished lower could range from this (nothing visible) to this (scratched & dented)

If it’s not too much trouble.

Thanks!!

I would have to go through countless boxes to find one with a single scratch in it. No time for that currently (sorry).

If you are the “OCD” type and wants to buy cheap, but expects everything to be “as good as” a non-blem product, don’t buy a BCM Blem lower.

My lowers are Blem lowers within a couple weeks anyway.

This pretty much answers my question without pics.

I’m not OCD and scratches don’t bother me, I was just curious as to how “blemished” is blemished.

Thanks.

Well GET TO IT!!! You’ve nothing better to do right???:stuck_out_tongue:

I have 3 blems from Grant and besides the “C” stamped by the pivot pin I can’t find a mark on them.

I couldn’t find the alleged “blems” on any of mine. These are a great value for a top notch factory built lower especially when you consider how picky Paul is with his parts.

I just wanted to thank Grant for an awesome BCM lower.
Excellent, will be getting another one soon.

I bought one and I was unable to find the “blem” Rock solid lower!!!

Sample of one here, but I could never find any “blemish”.

I seriously doubt these are any more blemmed than the current Lowers. It’s just a matter of moving the old roll mark lowers.
