BCM BFH 14.5 mid length & S&W lower

I want to put a BCM 14.5" middy on a S&W lower (after separating from its current 5.45 upper)
Any recommendations as to additional changes or is that GTG as is?

Be sure your lower is registered as a SBR before installing a 14.5" upper on it or you could find yourself in Federal prison.

Isn’t the fact that he even has a 14.5" upper in his possession that could be mounted on a lower already considered owning an SBR?

I would assume that he is talking about 14.5" w/a permanent fh installed but could be wrong. You can just switch the uppers, no big deal…if I am wrong, yes you better get that taken care of.

Sorry, I should’ve made that clear–I’d be ordering the upper w/permanently installed flash supressor.

I, personally, am not. I just worry about Jonny Law knockin’ down my door. In any case, SBR’s are illegal to own in WA, so it’s not even an issue.
