I am working on a trade right now and I want to make sure everything is correct. I am trading my 6940 upper for a BCM upper and some other goodies.
I have photos of the barrel. And it is marked “HP MP 1/7 NATO”
Supposedly it is a BCM Midlegth with a Hammer Forged barrel. I have no reason to distrust the person I am trading but he is getting it from someone else and I want to make sure neither he nor I are getting shorted.
Also does this look like BCM staking? I don’t think it does. But I could be wrong.
if it came as a BCM hammer forge upper, one way to tell is there is a “BFH” logo on the upper like below. I have the BCM non hammer forge barrel but it has the same barrel stampings as above. I dont know of any other way to tell.
as for the staking you cant tell really, newer BCM BCGs have a BCM logo laser etching, the older ones didnt
Thanks for those links. I am not sure if they are the the photos of the actual one he received to trade me or not. But looking at the photo and the one one showed me from BCMs page, it looks like there is to much showing on the left for it to say HF. I have emailed him asking him for the exact marking it has and if the Bolt and upper are marked. I really dont’ feel like getting burned on another trade, even inadvertently.
