BCM barrel dimple

A question regarding a BCM barrel …

The BCM 16" Mid stripped (non SS) has a dimple drilled for a gas block but they do not indicate which block might match.

Does anyone have any insight?

I would like to presume it is one that matches the MI low profile block they use in their complete uppers, but would like some feedback or confirmation.

Emailed BCM but have yet to hear (and I know they are busy  )

Thanks all.

Any block should work. I believe that Grant (or maybe it was Paul) said that they rear set screw is in the same position on all the low pro blocks so BCM dimples in that position.

+1 Yes,

The dimple is 180 degrees opposite the gas port. That is a standard location for dimples and gas blocks.

The machining operation to install the gas port hole on the gas block is the same operation to install the first detent screw hole.
Any gas block with set screw detents will line up with the dimple.
