I bought this off another forum member to use the upper for a rim fire build but have decided to take another route. The upper is just the barrel, receiver and the flash hider. No gas system. The previous owner went a little overboard with the pinning and welding. The Troy flash hider is welded completely around. I don’t think there was any damage to the barrel in the process. The receiver has a crack on the ejection side by the pivot lug. All defects are circled in the pics. The receiver will not hold under 5.56 pressure, obviously. This upper is for someone who thinks they can salvage the barrel or wants to use it for a rim fire build. Asking $100 shipped. Paypal only.
