Just put this together:
BCM LW 14.5 mid length upper
Centurion arms BCG
Troy fixed rear sight
Seekins precision lower
Palmetto LPK
UCWRG grip 23
Carbine RE w/ H buffer
B5 bravo stock
SOB sling (not pictured)
Put 350 rounds through it last night. No problems with M855, PMC bronze, tula. Tried it on my A5H2 lower and it wouldn’t lock back on empty with the weaker ammo but no jams. I’ll try it with the A5H1 &0 buffers eventually but I am happy with it with just the regular H buffer. Noticeably softer than my 16 carbine upper.
Picking up an Aimpoint PRO tomorrow for it.
That is a very utilitarian, all business rifle. I like it alot.
I also think that the Aimpoint PRO is a great choice for it as well. I am one of the very few who (slightly) prefer the PRO to the Micro series.
Thank you. My first rifle was a 16" with a 12" rail and a bunch of BS that I didn’t need. I learned a lot since then and built this to reflect that.
I will also be picking up a light tomorrow and that should round out this carbine.
I would love a micro, honesty, but I can’t justify the cost difference. I would rather spend the cash on ammo & training.
Update:
Put on a Streamlight trl-1 and an Aimpoint PRO and SOB sling.
I put 500 rounds of tula through it this weekend with no problems. It locks back with H-buffer and a standard spring. I will pick up a Sprinco white spring for it soon and maybe later try some lighter weights with my A5 lower on it.
Thank you! I like the light a lot and I liked that it came with the pressure switch.
I actually compared both models side by side and the HP had a much tighter beam at range.
