BCG confusion

I’m building a rifle, and find I’m confused now that I’m ready to select the BCG.

According to the chart, both BCM and LMT HP/MPI every bolt. However, I cannot find a reference to the HP part of this process on either of their web sites. Can any of you provide insight into this?

FWIW, I’m leaning toward a LMT FA carrier and enhanced bolt, LMT part number L7FB3.

It’s in the item description on BCM’s website.

The bolt assembly is machined from the correct Mil-Spec Carpenter No. 158® steel, shot peened for increased strength, includes tool steel machined extractor and ejector, BCM Extractor Spring, and is HPT (High Pressure Tested) and MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspected).

Thanks for the lead. I must have read right over that several times. I found the wording on the BCM BCG as you indicated. I also found different wording on the BCM site for the LMT standard bolts indicating they also were HPT, do you know if the enhanced bolt is also HPT? I want to assume that it is, but I’ve been burned by assuming things about parts before:-)

LMT’s 2010 catalog lists ALL of their barrels and bolts as HP/MP.

You can’t go wrong with either bolt. Or bolt carrier.
