BCG Compatibility Question

Ok, so I just got a new upper (this one: BCM upper but with the Gunfighter comp pinned and welded). I got it on a whim when I saw that they were in stock on BCM’s website. Considering that quality BCG’s are unobtainium right now, I would like to just drop in the BCG from the upper that this will be replacing (a very similar Spikes upper). It’s one of the Spikes NiB BCG’s.

I’ve put bout 500 rounds through my current upper/BCG, and was wondering if it would be a bad idea to use my old BCG with my new upper, since I know that BCG’s do tend to wear in with the uppers they’re mated to. Thanks for any info/advice.

Run it. Only 500 rounds won’t be an issue.

I thought BCM uppers came with a BCG? I don’t see anywhere on the page that says it doesn’t come with a BCG, but I could have over looked something.

I just got a BCM 16" Middy with Centurion C4 rail and it did not come with the BCG. I’ve finished my build except for the BCG.

BCM uppers do not come with BCG’s and the option to add them has been available for some time.

No sweat… go to Gunbroker and get a DD BCG for $455. :cool:

Sad to say I’ve already pot a bid in on a Colt BCG. I’m an idiot but need a BCG

Friggin DDs out perform COLT M16 BCGs… It’s like the cardboard tube hypnotizes these idiots.

I thought all I had to pick was the hand guard I wanted when I got mine. But it’s been 2 years since I got mine so I guess I remembered incorrectly.

Can’t you just get a new bolt and use your existing carrier?

Depends on whether you get an “Upper Receiver Group” or “Upper Half Package”.

Their Upper Receiver Groups do NOT come with a BCG.

Their Upper Half Packages DO come with a BCG.
