MW3 devs have admitted they are using the same engine  BF3s engine is their new Frostbite 2.0 engine, the soldier models, animations, dynamic lighting, destructible environments are a huge step up over bad company 2
I saw gameplay footage and realized that it may have the same gunplay issues as BC2.
For example, player fires his weapon. The ammo counter says 5 rounds were fired, but in game only 2 bullets actually left the weapon. To get all 30rds to leave your weapon, you have to tap the trigger 30 times. If you hold down the trigger, the counter says you emptied the magazine but technically only 15rds actually left the rifle. The other 15rds don’t exist. :suicide:
In the BC3 footage I saw, there was evidence of ammo counter and gun shot audio not matching. That’s a tell tale sign.
Yeah, looks like the modeling team went full retard on this one.
Reason I don’t like the Battlefield engine is it has always had hitbox issues related to latency and issues with hitboxes not corresponding to model location even on a stationary target. Back in BF2 you could snipe a prone target by shooting underneath them. If you put the crosshairs right on their head and fired you usually did not get a headshot.
Having played Bad Company 2, I have noticed numerous similarities to Crysis from gameplay to jungle graphics to plot. (Since EA owns both, can hardly be plagarism.) But this new iteration looks like a big step up on all levels–no pun intended.
I hope they improve the rendition of the ACOG–in BC2, it had an asinine red-watery glare covering bottom half of reticle.
