Battlecomp 2.0 or AAC Breakout?

I posted this in the NFA forum because of the ability to mount a suppressor to each of these muzzle devices if it is the wrong forum, please let me know… I am planning, in the future on mounting a can to my AR… I am trying to get opinions on which muzzle device to get that will be a combination of flash killing and recoil reducing capabilities… I have read about both the 2.0 and the Breakout quite a bit but I have not seen a direct thread asking opinions on one over the other specifically… keeping in mind that the purchase of the suppressor won’t be for quite a while… if you only had the choice between the 2, which of these 2 would you want to mount on your rifle?

Definitely the Battlecomp since it’s more versatile with the can off.

I’m not sure what cans go onto the BC 2.0 however.

my understanding is that the 2.0 BC has the same dimensions of the A2 so suppressors like the Gemtech HALO and the AAC Omni are options…

OK. Yeah… the BC will be much better if you plan to shoot with the can off very much.

You should probably choose the suppressor first, as that will greatly limit your flash hider/comp selection. They don’t all universally mount to every muzzle device available. If you can’t choose a can yet, I would purchase an A2 flash hider. They run about $8.

Biggest question is which can are you looking to buy since the BC 2.0 is compatible with the Gemtech HALO and the AAC Brakeout works with AAC Cans???

I had been leaning towards the AAC brand of suppressors but I have recently read that the HALO is a good product as well and the HALO is cheaper than the AAC M4-2000 or the Mini-4, which are the 2 that mount to the Breakout… but again, the suppressor purchase won’t be for a while so I am looking for the muzzle device, essentially, to fill the gap… my AR has the Vortex hider installed already, I am looking to change the hider at this time…

I’ve been under the impression that the omni cans are no longer available. That would leave a pretty slim selection for the bc2.o. I may be getting the omni mixed up with the ops inc though.

This.

If you’re going to wait to decide, you don’t have much to lose by getting the BC and shooting it a bunch and then switching it out for something to mount the can you decide to get, which can often be a long wait.

I haven’t checked the resale market on the BC, but even it you get 50% out of it, it’s probably worth it in the meantime.
