A while ago I saw something about that 90 degree of timing will be enough to tighten bc 1.0. Mine hand tightens at about 2:45-3ish. Will that remainder be tight enough when clocked at 6.
That should work just fine.
Just for future reference, what is the minimum that you guys have found that is sufficient
Most folks will not use a torque wrench for installation so putting a torque value to this is not as useful as a clock position. The logo at the 3:30 location would be the safe minimum. Anything beyond that will not guarantee that the comp will remain properly located. Good question!
15-20 ft/lbs. is the minimum, and we don’t like to put more than 45 at any given time. Sneaking up on timing is the safe way to go.
