Finally got my Barrett M468 finished and where I want it. Started out with a factory stock M468. Only thing left now is to get it to the range, zero, and function test it. Hope to get to do that this weekend. Here are the specs so to speak.
Larue 9.0 rail
Larue Cantilever Aimpoint mount
ML3 2moa Aimpoint
Troy rear sight
Magpul CTR
Magpul MIAD
Ko-Tonics flash supressor
Midwest Industries sling mount
Vickers 2 pt sling
Tango Down rail panels
Factory match trigger replaced with a GI trigger and KNS pins
I’m currently considering a brake for my 6.8 SBR (have the same A2 FH on it now). Taking it through one of Sully’s basic carbine courses was sort of eye-opening - shooting accurate NSRs and double-taps on the move is definitely slower and more difficult with the 6.8’s recoil. Sully had an SLR-15 Grail at the class and it shot great with the Surefire 556K brake on it. Just trying to figure out now if it’s worth pissing off everyone else within earshot of me…
Any chance you might shoot your M468 with the brake and with the A2 FH to let us know how both muzzle devices affect return to sight picture, target to target transitions, etc?
I would, but, the factory brake is no longer serviceable. Actually, now that I think about it, the brake may still work as normal, just doesnt look that good. I’ll see what I can do.
