Barrel/rail length question

So I am planning my first build and would like to use a BCM 11.5 barrel, is it possible to use that with a 12" rail like the Midwest keymod rail? I would assume it is with the correct muzzle device but I’m not sure what that would be. I don’t want to add a ton of length just enough to clear the rail (just enough really still partially inside would be better. This is going to bea build (on a budget) and I am used to longer handguards. Any advice you can offer would be great.

The only thing that might work is a Noveske KX5. Anything that doesn’t have any side blast should work, but you might have a hard time finding something that would actually fit inside the rail.

With an A2 flash hider, I run an 11.0 used Larue with an 11.5 BCM barrel and that’s as long of a handguard I could get away with. The wrench flats and then some are inside the rail with just the flash hider cuts being outside.

If you were looking for a cheaper muzzle device, you may want to look at the DPMS Linear Comp. I’m usually no fan of DPMS, but it looks like it should do what you want it to.
