I was planning on swapping out my FF handguard, a Troy TRX, which uses a proprietary barrel nut. I’d already ordered a factory barrel nut, and a Samson Evolution.
Then, it occured to me. Since my flash hider is pinned, I can’t pull the gas block off of the barrel, which means I can’t switch out the barrel nut. Correct me if I’m wrong, but the barrel nut cannot be removed from the bore end of the barrel, can it?
Looks like I may be stuck using Troy’s TRX; have to get the extreme, if I’m thinking right. I don’t want to go through the hassle right now of having the pin taken out, and then having to replace the flash hider.
If I’m thinking wrong, please help me.
