I am swapping out my POF predator rail 9.0" to a Troy Industries 13.8". I got to taking off the predator last night, and it has what appears to be an aluminum barrel nut.
The Troy wont work with this so obviously I’m going to have to replace it with a standard barrel nut. Does anyone have an opinion on where I should get one and which brand?

No, its a drop in. I’m going to try and use the barrel nut from my bushmaster I have under construction right now and see if that will work.

If you are using the regular Troy MRF 13.8, than you can take off the barrel nut off of your bushmaster and use it with not an issue, Troy manufacturing says it uses the standard barrel nut. So go ahead and use it.
If the rail is the TRX then it should have come with the rail, barrel nut, and tool to install.

I didn’t know they were making drop-ins that long! Good luck with the project.
I used the nut off the Bm and got it all together yesterday. I’ll shoot it tomorrow to see how it holds up.
