Barnes Tac-XPD 115 gr. +P

Just picked up a few boxes of this ammo to replace my current SD/HD ammo, mostly because I was able to find this for a decent price and had been having a tough time finding gold dot, HST, or ranger-t. Of course after I ordered the ammo I saw that Grant got 147 gr. ranger-t in stock (which is my current SD/HD load). Does anybody have any experience with this “new” Barnes load? It seems to be the same as their XPB that Doc has listed on his accepted duty loads thread, just with a fancy new name and a black coating on the bullets themselves…marketing gimmicks I’m sure. I shot a few boxes through my Glock 19 yesterday and it ran very smooth (same recoil as 115 gr. range ammo). Just curious if anybody had any gellatin testing info or personal experience with it.

Unfortunately, the round is underpowered and under penetrates.

Worked great in all calibers I tested, 9,40,and 45acp… I like how well it performed for me…
