A buddy of mine is selling a Baretta CX4 Storm in 9mm . He offered it to me first for $600. It has some cheap red dot optic, a VFG, about 15 mags, a Baretta factory bag for it, and a buch of other stuff. I have no experiences with this gun. Is this guy giving me a good deal or ripping me off?
As long as the barrel is not shot out, that is a fair deal (assuming of course that you want this weapon).

I do want the weapon, and the barrel is not shot out, I have inspected the weapon witha finde tooth comb and it has been very well maintained. Im also helping him by buying the weapon from him (needs money for a child custody battle).
I don’t have one, but have shot them and found them to be handy, portable, reliable and just plain fun to shoot. In overall handling I’ve found it feels similar to what I’d call a generic subgun. It doesn’t feel specifically like any one variety, but like a blend of the best features from many. If I were to get one, my personal mods would be to register it as an SBR, shorten the barrel and add a suppressor. But, that’s me - I just can’t leave well enough alone. I can’t vouch for it’s durability in hard use, but John Farnam has one in .40 that he’s rather fond of.
I would make it an SBR and put a supressor on it if I could here in the Peoples Republic of Massachussetts. Its basically gonna be a play gun.
I got one when they first came out. I really enjoy shooting mine. It is strictly a range toy. I haven’t had any problems in 6-7K rounds so far. With all the mags and the case it seems like a decent deal.
