Back In The Game - Finally!

Well, it seems like an eternity since this group buy on Anvil Arms lowers launched last winter. Here it is - snowflakes in the air and I at last hit the range this afternoon with my Anvil Arms build! I must say, it felt good to pull the trigger on an AR-15 again. As much as I love my .308, there’s something sublime about a nice running AR - especially a handy little M4 carbine. The fit and finish on this rifle is just superb - Jon Kruger builds one heck of a rifle - everything just fits and matches to a T. I was put off a bit by the wait for my upper and can only imagine things getting worse with “Obamamania”, but if you have patience - the wait may be worth it. This rifle was part of a group buy at NES and though it likely will never be my go-to gun, I may indeed build another one, (logo-free) that will be. I still need to sling this properly, but overall I am elated with the set-up. My first groups were off to the right, then the left, but finally got closer to center just as I ran out of ammo. I think the either the ammo was weak, or the buffer and spring from Sully is stiff, as I had a heck of a time running Centurion. Everything else, (lake City and Privi), ran like a top…
