B5 customer service is extremely dissapointing

A few months ago, while I was away at school I purchased a B5 bravo stock for my AR I am building. I went to install it a few weeks ago over my spring break and noticed a 2-3mm gap between the stock and buffer tube, causing large amounts of play. I went ahead and tried the stock on a friends AR and noticed the same part so the tubes are most likely not out of spec, it has to be the stock. At this point I wasn’t upset, I emailed B5 the next day and asked what course of action I should take. Initially I was very impressed a man named Jud emailed me back promptly the same day and offered to mail me out a new part the same day. Now two months have passed I have yet to see the part. I have called everyday for the past 12 days sometimes twice a day and all I get is the answering machine. I have emailed them several times trying to get some kind of correspondence going but I get nothing. I feel ignored and am now without a functioning part. I am a just a college student paying loans and eating what I can, I cant afford to buy another stock. I just want the part I bought originally replaced. thats all. I have not asked for any special treatment, just fair customer support. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know because I will take anything. Thanks for any help ahead of time. As for now I would say to be wary of B5’s customer service.

There is a difference between mil-spec and commercial tubes. Did you get the right stock? A little research on M4carbine.net and you will get all the info you need for a successful stock swap.

B5 stocks only come in one flavor MILSPEC. They don’t make ones for commercial tubes.

Did you order it from B5 Systems? If not, where did you get the stock?

What type of AR do you have?

The B5s I’ve used have all been like trying to get a Trojan on a stud horse.

YMMV

Emersondm16 send me an email at mark@b5systems.com and Ill get your issue resolved.

Why? You have 7 posts here, and no one else has ever had a problem with them that I’m aware of.

I smell a little bullshit. I’ve yet to encounter anything short of stellar with B5’s CRANE/SOPMOD stocks.

THIS^, I have a B5 and it’s super tight. If the need ever arises I will get another without a second thought. I’ve only heard about some out of spec ones that hit the market a few years ago that were wrong because the .gov gave them the wrong specs, maybe you got one of those? I don’t know who was selling them and I can’t remember if they were too tight or too loose either. You got an answer directly from the owner, sounds like damn good cs to me.

I bought the stock from DSGarms.com I have a milspec buffer tube bought from palmetto state armory. The other AR I tried it on was a S&W M&P15. Yes I understand that B5 has a high reputation for quality and that is why I bought there product. Mine was simply just out of spec or an outlier in production. Call it bullshit all you want but it doesn’t fit on two milspec buffer tubes. If someone can calculate the odds of two different buffer tubes being out of spec, I would love to see the numbers.

Will do, Thank you the quick reply.

I was just thinking the same thing.

Yes Im going to go ahead and delete this thread. Back on track and very appreciative. Thanks everyone.

Can you go ahead and delete this thread, I am in communication with B5.
