as a lefty, i’ve waited a LONG time for a receiver like this. several members of M4C, including myself, were beta testers and had input into the prototype and final production version, and i’m very happy with how the final product turned out.

MM - thank you for the thoroughly written and well-illustrated writeup. As someone who is right handed but left eye dominant, I’ve been watching this closely. I’ve previously experiment with KAC and Norgon parts, but never been completely satisfied.
I’ve had the parts laying around for another carbine build. I think I will try the Vltor A5 with this, as you did in your tests.
it offers features that no other lower currently has, so whether it’s worth the price is subjective, of course. it’s not completely stripped - it includes these parts:
[ol]
[li]Front takedown pin
[/li][li] A-DAC pin
[/li][li] Bolt drop pin
[/li][li] Bolt drop plunger
[/li][li] Bolt drop lever
[/li][li] AXTS EBC (Extended Bolt Catch)
[/li][li] AXTS AHRP - Anti-rotation hammer pin (you can also use a standard pin if desired)
[/li][li] Magazine catch
[/li][li] Left hand magazine release lever
[/li][li] 3 custom springs
[/li][li] Fulcrum pin (pre-installed) - this is the left hand magazine release fulcrum pin and is permanently pressed into place.
[/li][li] AXTS SART (Self Adjusting Receiver Tensioner) -plunger, spring and retention screw
[/li][li] Rear takedown detent retention screw with allen wrench
[/li][li] Bolt catch pivot screw
[/li][li] Bolt drop pivot screw
[/li][li] 2 ball end allen wrenches for the small screws
[/li][li] Magazine release button
[/li][/ol]
Nice looking receiver, but I am not a big fan of proprietary and special parts. Since I am a righty shooter, who likes some ambi controls I will probably go with the other ADAC receiver, and just add a Battle Arms selector and Troy magazine release.
I’m a lefty but do the above to all of my lowers. I’ll probably try one out just for the heck of it. I felt that the already mentioned additions make the system very left handed friendly.
