I appreciate the sentiment, but not the lack of Constitutional comprehension. The 1A is secured against the gov’t, not private individuals. Stealing his sign was not “violating his first amendment rights” - it just simply a property crime.
You’re correct boltcatch, about the first amendment and the fact that the sign theft is really only a property crime. My worry is, as screwed up as this society’s laws are, the suggestion to teach someone about the power of the second amendment might be construed as a “terrorist threat” and result in the prosecution of same.

Although BoltCatch is correct, I almost guarantee that if it had been an Obama sign that had been stolen and vandalized, the ACLU would have gotten involved…and complained about the 1st Amendment rights of the owner being violated.

Around here you wouldn’t even have known there was a Republican candidate if you went by the signs. Some houses with McCain signs were toilet papered a few nights ago. This house on my dog walking route now has this addition:
If it’s at all hard to read (cell phone pic) it says:
Hey A-holes!! Police reports have been filed for vandalism and you are now being video taped. CHARGES WILL BE FILED SO KEEP IT UP!
