LAV,

Everyone has an opinion on pistol sights.

I run with an orange Ameriglo front night sight and a Warren single dot rear night sight. Since I have switched to this my personal times have improved along with my accuracy.

That being said I have heard some top trainers prefer a all black rear sight.

What do you reccomend for an intermediate student?

Also to what should work towards?

I just don’t want get used to something that will later become a barier to continued progress.

Thanks for the help.

Sorry to jump in before Mr. Vickers responds but I’ve considered this setup also. I have standard Warrens but miss my pro glow fronts from Ameriglo. I assume you use the new taller version of this sight? They seem to be working for you and I’ve heard Ken Hackathorn uses this but with a black rear I believe.

Correct it is taller but the big thing is 95% of the time I train/practice in daylight and the orange front sight makes it easier and faster for me to pick up plus with it being a night sight it is a win-win.
