Anybody go to www.imfdb.org? Its Wikipedia for firearms used in movies. I watched a Michael Mann marathon this weekend which showed some of his greatest movies like Heat, Collateral, Miami Vice and Blackhat. Anyways I found my self on imfdb for an hour or so checking out some of the firearms used in his films. I have always noticed that Mann is pretty accurate when it comes to firearms and situations. Anyways some of the guns that I took notice is in Miami Vice and I am now wanting a ZMlr 300 and a Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol with a Cmore red dot(why did I give that away). The LR-300 was always a custom rifle made by Al Zitta. For a time he did a lot of automobile work and 1911 work. Todd Jarrett used to use all his stuff including the LR-300.
I did a write up years back if you search. They aren’t bad. There is a LOT of 1911 influence in rifle which is good and bad. It has an easily loseable C Clamp and it turns the DI gas tube into a piston.
It is a fun gun but not something to go crazy over. They used to be sold by YHM then Para Ord, now…extinct.
They make a good IPSC rifle but I hear the resale market is insane. I paid 2 grand for mine like 8 or 7 years ago.
I’ll never part with mine but it’s not as nice as my Colt
