I am strongly considering one and am trying to decide between the standard or EX version.
I’d like to have the additional length (~1.5") offered by the EX, but not if I have to take it off every time I want to remove the handguards.
Anybody know if you can get the handguards off with the #38 EX?
Also, anybody know a good set of rings to give the ‘lower 1/3’ co-witness on top of the Swan Sleeve with a standard front sight? I’m considering LaRue or ARMS
You won’t find a lot of love for ARMS products here. 10yrs ago, they were pretty much the only game in town, but now there are much better options available. I drink the LaRue kool-aid and stick with their products if I need a 3rd party upgrade. There are several other companies that produce excellent products, as well.
Thanks for the input–I’m new to this forum, but have been around on a few others. Interesting that they all have their quirks/preferences.
Do you know of another company that sells a comparable item to the Swan #38, meaning a riser/top rail with a built-in flip up, locking BUIS? I’d like to hear of one.
I am still trying to figure out if the handguards can be removed with the 38EX model.
FWIW, I’ve got a some GG&G gear, but will probably be switching to LaRue on top of the Swan.
