ARMS Swan Sleeve tool

I’ve had this rail for 25 plus years and have long lost the tool for the bolts. Any idea what it is? I’ve emailed ARMS a couple of times with no response (surprise). Anyway, TIA.

I have driver bits that fit that type of fastener. They look like a 1/4 inch hex driver with two “blades” on either side that index into the notches on the fastener. I have some that are shrouded (circle around the outside) and some that are not. Shroud doesn’t appear to be all that helpful, both types work. I think the big wheeler driver set might include some. They do come in different sizes

Do you know what those bits are called?

I am sorry. I do not.

I believe thats a spanner nut socket is the name of the tool you are asking about.

John Deere uses one with four prongs. If that aint correct it will get you in the Ballpark.

Thanks, I’ll look that up.

Wiha stuff is nice! A coworker has one of their precision screwdriver sets, but it doesn’t include the special bits.

Yeah, the bits you are looking for are on the lower left side of the bit tray.

I’ve had a Job as a Specialist on Armored Vehicles and since I’ve retired I’ve probobly got 100K is specialized tools in two roll aways in the Garage.

I spent a lot of money on that kind of stuff to make the job easier.

I did find them under “spanner” bits and ordered a few. The largest was a #12 and it was just a hair too small so I took a metal file to it to open it up a bit and now it works.
