Ares Armor Low Profile Arsenal Bag

I just wanted to give a quick look at the Ares Armor Low Profile Arsenal Bag. I paid for this bag, and I am not being paid for this review.

Ive been searching for a “discrete” bag for quite some time. I never pulled the trigger on any of the available bags because they just weren’t what I was looking for. The main reason I needed a discrete bag was really for taking my gear from my house to the car and back. Walking out of the house with 2 rifle cases and a tan backpack made me feel like everyone was watching.

Generally, when I go to a class or the range, I will take two AR 15’s and two pistols. This pic illustrates a general range load for me, missing one of my uppers of course:

The Ares Armor Low Profile Arsenal Bag carries all of this, and does it comfortably as well. The middle pouch is able to carry numerous pistols, as well as two broken down AR15s with barrel lengths of 18" or less (optics can stay on the upper as well). There are also numerous elastic bands to hold magazines.

There are two side pouches that run the length of the bag. Inside they have numerous elastic bands that can hold magazines, as well as a row of smaller bands that can hold pistol mags. I’ve thrown in ammo boxes as well. The bands will hold .308, AR15, and pistol magazines securely.

The zippers are beefy YKK with locking loops so you can keep people out of your business:

When all packed up, the bag can be carried by the wide padded shoulder strap. When slung over the shoulder, it is not only comfortable but also bears no resemblance to anything tactical. There are also two grab handle on either side.

To sum it up, this bag is extremely low profile, holds everything I need without alerting the neighbors that I have big guns, is stitched together extremely well, and comes from a veteran owned/operated company. You guys got this one 100% right Ares Armor!

Thank you for the review. This is what I’ve been looking for something like this.

Good review thanks. Looks like I need to stop by their shop again when I return to CONUS!

Where is all of their gear made? Is it the Oceanside, CA address on the website or is it produced over seas?

AFAIK, it’s all US made.

Looking good, might have to get one of these. I know exactly what you mean by thinking that people are watching. I typically load my vehicle in the garage, at night, the day before I go to the range. You never know…

Can you fit a plate carrier in there?

No sir. I dont even put my battle belt in because I dont want to flatten the stiffener of my HSGI belt. Guns, ammo, mags.

Uploaded a few pics from the camera. I took these during my stay at a resort in Colorado. The staff was none the wiser to the fact that I had scary guns the whole time in my luggage.

That thing is bad ass! So inconspicuous

In Colorado, I’d think you had a camera tripod or telescope in that bag. Valuable gear to be sure, but not one of those horrifying thundersticks.

I’m going to snag one of those bags.

Thanks for the review. It looks like a great bag.

I think you said this, but I want to be sure I understand: can you not fit a 16-inch barreled AR in there while still assembled?

EDIT: Nevermind, found this video that shows what goes in the bag. Looks like you’d need something around the length of an SBR if you wanted to keep an assembled AR in the bag. Bummer.

No, I believe a 10.5" SBR may fit, but a 16" is out of the question.

I see the length listed at 30". Is this the external or internal measurement?

This bag looks perfect for my needs. I’ve been waiting for the Sneaky Bag to become available for some time, but this may even be better. The lack of MOLLE and its black and gray subtle coloring is what sets it apart. Too bad it looks like Ares Armor is out of stock.

I ordered one last night from these peeps:

Hopefully it’s in stock, my range bag was getting too small. Was a little cheaper from them too.

I just checked with the store, and they are in stock.

They may show in stock but they still haven’t moved my order out of “awaiting shipment.”
