Are you using a 5 or 6 position receiver extension with the CTR?

I am probably going to order a CTR package from G&R and it comes with a 5 position extension. I was also looking at getting the hardware mounting kit from Bravo Company which comes with a 6 position tube and the CTR separately.

I’ve standardized on the 6-position, but like zip says, it really doesn’t matter.

does not matter but all of mine have 5 position mil tubes.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but from what I’ve gathered the 6-pos just goes a little bit longer (one more notch) than the 5-pos. FWIW I’m 5’10" and the longest setting on my 5-pos tube is way too long for anything but shooting from a bench.

I am using a 6 position, but due to the type of sling mount, I can’t quite reach the shortest setting so it is a 5 position in reality.

I think my 6920’s tube has only 4 positions. Don’t want to change it out since everything has worked so well.

VLTOR 5-position tubes on all of mine.

I have both. To me 5 or 6 position doesn’t matter as much as getting a sturdy tube like a Vltor, CMT, or LMT.
