Are you licensed to reload that ammo?

redaction.

And so the next wave begins… I need to put my Senators on speed dial.

Are we going to need to carry around papers like they did in nazi germany?

And they will catch you when your kids rat you out in school.

Unless you have a cool kid like the one in Equilibrium.

Jay

This would never fly. I wouldn’t bat an eye at this lunacy, folks.

Mark, you are normally the most cynical fellow on a board, can you really state that the fools in DC won’t say AYE to this?
They are the same ones that are declaring that they should be able to regulate CO2 for f#@k’s sake!

The misquote Pink Floyd. “The Lunatic is in charge”

OT, but that’s a pretty good flick.

Oh man looks lie it’s time to step up the buying process for the ammo plan… Damn I hope this is just shiat…

What is interesting is that the ITAR specifically exempts private non-commercial handloading/reloading equipment from “ammunition manufacturing equipment” subject to export licensing. (Not that that is directly related to this – just governmental and international recognition of the hobbyist non commercial reloader)

I think the NRA could really make a broad appeal on this one. Us AR nuts and The Fudds could even agree that this is horse shit.

Do you guys see how they are testing the perimeter - looking for soft spots to launch their attack. AWB would cause some political backlash to to point it potentially cannot pass, but work on the reloaders…from their perspective hit only some of the folks and work on isolated groups.

Can this be done, sure if no one is watching…and then again, if no one really cares.

Put this in the new “Small Arms Treaty” for Mexico and there you have it.

Our founding fathers must be rolling in their graves.

I totally agree to the point your making. They are testing the waters, using the proverbial poker to feel around and see what they feel can fly, and what causes unacceptable (at least for the moment) waves of anger or rebellion.

Once they have a good feel for the boundaries, they will likely look at how to exploit them to the fullest advantage.

I doubt the future for the gun owning American looks too bright, there is some major pain and suffering as well as undisputable freedoms beeing taken away that many of us good and lawfull Americans will suffer because of the few idiots and nut jobs that have provided the argument and examples for the anti’s.

FWIW:
Looks like the NRA might have been laying the foundation for while. The latest “America’s 1st Freedom " has an article on “Mexico’s Drug Wars…” and a very good interview with John Bolton. The former US Ambassador to the UN was in a position to learn a few things about treaties and Bolton seems like a smart and level-headed guy.
I have no idea when the interview actually took place. There’s also a side-bar about the NRA being a " recognised Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) at the United Nations”.

Bolton was the best man ever to have at the UN to deal with those jackoffs, too bad his time there was so short!

Who knows , maybe he can do some volunteer work for the NRA NGO in his spare time?

I disagree, I’m with Markm on this one. I believe it would be much harder to ban reloading than AW’s. Every gun owner would be against anything ammo related, even if they don’t personally reload, where as there are alot of gun owners/enthusiasts who believe AW’s aren’t necessary and wouldn’t fight for their existance.

Just my .02 of course.

double DUPE. I posted 1st on this.

Up to the mods. You could PM one.

FWIW , this looks like the better thread to me. Free competition in the marketplace of ideas and all that.

Does Larry Pratt’s 2nd cousin have some connections at the UN or something like that? How 'bout Ron , what has he done for us lately?

YKWIM, it’s a 2 way street and no time for losers.
