Are these M4 Feed Ramps? Could not get a better picture, and don’t know what all the white dots are, can’t see them with the naked eye, maybe reflection from the flash on the lub. I have seen pictures of the different kinds of rams and these at least look similar to the pictures of M4 ramps.

Well, that means the upper isn’t an M4 upper, it didn’t have the M4 feedramps originally, otherwise they would be black like the whole upper and the marks left behind on this one don’t lie.
These are dremeled, but they look better than the other I have seen before.
Care to tell us what company did this one?
i say “dremeled” because it was done after anodize, which means they just took A4 receivers and tried to convert them into M4s. this is a sign of extreme cheesiness, but it’s not necessarily a “bad” thing. considering proper M4 receivers can be had for about $90 right now, I can’t ever see a reason to use a dremeled M4.
OH yeah, I see what you are saying, the ramps in the upper receiver would have the finish on them if they were machined into the upper receiver before it was assembled. In person the ramps look really good compared to the pictures in the second post of this theard, I was pleasantly surprised.
The AR is a DPMS, but don’t worry, I have Magpul MIAD Grips, a Spikes buffer, a BCM Gunfighter charging handle (mod 4) and a BCM BCG in it so I can go to the prom

I figure they had the non-M4’s in stock and this was a down and dirty way of making them M4’s…sort of kinda…

The only real downside is that the ramps will be more susceptable to wear without the hard anodize finish…though I doubt most folks would ever use it enough for that to really make a difference…
if you shot nothing but full auto 30-round magazine dumps for 40,000 rounds, you’d still never “wear” extended feedramps, anodized or not. the odds of a round even touching them are probably one in a thousand. they’re just a failsafe.
a homeschool M4 dremel job is one thing- if you possess the steady hands required, by all means. but for a manfer to do it is just silly and cheap as hell. thats my only complaint.
What are “M4 feedramps”? I am new to AR’s and I am trying to figure all this out…how do I tell what MY carbine has?
m4 feedramps extend into the receiver. traditional ramps are contained in the barrel extension. you can tell the difference by looking- if your ramps extend from barrel extension to receiver, then you have m4 ramps.
