I’m trying to remove myAR10 bolt from its carrier and am having no luck. I removed the firing pin retaining pin and got the firing pin out. Unfortunately, the bolt cam pin won’t clear the carrier key. I tried rotating it 180deg and even applied some pressure with a screw driver. It’s just a hair from making it, but just won’t come out. I honestly don’t know how they got it in unless the hit it with a hammer or installed the carrier key after the bolt was already in the carrier. Am I missing something or does it need to go back to Armalite? BTW, it’s a factory assembled upper.
Have you tried turning it to the other flat side? It might be a tad shorter.

I’d just knock the sharp corner off of the key with a small stone or needle file.
It looks kind of dry, splash some oil on it.
I’ve had a couple of AR10 BCGs that were like this. You’re just gonna have to play with it a little. A flat head screw driver will go a long way in leveraging the cam pin out. You shouldn’t have to use too much force with a leverage tool to get it to come out. After that, it gets easier each time. You get used to a slight interference fit after playing with DSA FAL stuff!
