AR M4 Type 50yd Zero

I plan on going to the range and performing a 50yd zero. I have one bulleye type 10ring 100yd target using a bigger one so I can see it. I already have an 25 METER military type zero. My question is I will be aiming dead center firing 3
shots checking and ajusting. Is there a method to adjust using the front and rear sights instead of me looking and just guessing the number of clicks. I saw a guy on tv using a ruler to get the number of clicks up and down side to side but he did not explain what he was doing.

Help Please

All of the sights adjustments have value. Check your manual for these values. write them down and take them with you. Have a definitive point of aim. hold on that point of aim and fire a 5 round group. Find the center point of that group and measure to the point of aim. then make the needed adjustments. If you can not find the calues in your manual. let me know. I have some data and with knowing what you are shooting gun and sights I can look and see if I have the data you need.

First make sure that your rear sight is adjusted properly before you start to zero your carbine.

***Remember you’re adjusting the FRONT SIGHT for elevation, not the rear, and that each click is about 1/2" (actually a little more) at 50 yards. ****

Draw a line down thru the middle of your target and mark it with 1/2" spaced hash marks going across. Take some of the cheap peel-off round stickers to place over the holes and you can keep using the target.

If your carbine is already zeroed then you should not have any issues. Just follow the info in the above link.
