Looking at getting an AR Gold trigger for my SBR’d lower, however that lower is shared between a 223 and 9mm upper. Curious as to whether anyone has used the AR Gold trigger in a 9mm and whether it functioned fine?

Well I got my answer and the answer is NO the AR Gold will not work with a ramped bolt 9mm set upper. It was essentially a single shot as the hammer wouldn’t reset. I’m wondering if it would work fine for a standard non ramped bolt.
It should work with a non-ramped bolt. Something I never saw anyone mention is that the bottom rear hammer cocking area of the bolt (at least on a Colt) sits higher than the rest of the bottom of the bolt (looking at the inverted upper).
Cut this area away by ramping, and it will no longer cam the hammer back far enough for the disconnector to catch it. Some of these ramped 9mm’s must only be functioning by slamming the hammer back hard enough for inertia to carry it the rest of the way to the disconnector.
Is that not the idea or reason for it? I put the AR gold trigger in my 9mm AR pistol and it seems to work great.
Tried it and it was a single shot. Looks like the ramped bolt was the issue.
AR Gold triggers pull at around 2.5 - 3.0 lbs, so take that into account if you want to explore this option further.

The trigger is the lightest one I seem to have on any of my rifles or pistols. Or just on the boarder of too light.
