my question is whats the best lower to use for a .308 build that the parts interchange with no problem and also the mags are not expensive and hard to find.i would like any info anyone might have.
DPMS, as they sell seperate parts.
Armalite and Novkese guns are cross compatible.
DPMS, LMT, KAC and Larue uppers and lowers should be compatible.
With the creation of the Magpul PMAG-LR a cheap SR-25 magazine is plentiful.
With our Mk11 and M110’s in service it is the closest thing to a true “spec” for the .308/7.62mm NATO guns.
At one point, CMMG also had lowers that worked with DPMS uppers, and were looking at making lower compatible with G3; FAL; and SR25 magazines.
